Last night I read Confessions of a Slacker Mom in one sitting. It's not very thick, but a good read, nonetheless. It's nice to see someone out there holding up a sign that says "SLOW DOWN" for parents. She points out that most of us already have a parenting philosophy - we just don't have a fancy name for it or an encyclopedic volume detailing its nuances.
An additional bonus is her writing style: very personable and more like a convesation than a lecture. Anyhoo, I recommend it to anyone who plans on parenting something, somewhere, somehow, once upon a time.
