Can you tell I'm too lazy to think up my own post ideas? Actually, that's not it. I have lots of ideas and half-baked thoughts. I'm just too lazy to organize them into posts right now. And so, I bring you more questions:
1. From RainbowW: "also, as i'm hopelessly stupid, my question: was this pregnancy the
result of an art i missed, or did you get lucky the cheap old-fashioned
I'm nothing if not cheap, Rainbow. Actually, I've never technically been infertile. I missed the "frequent recurrent miscarrier" label by one miscarriage. The current tally is five pregnancies, three losses (one termination, two missed miscarriages), and one live birth. My husband and I are extremely fortunate that the egg-meets-sperm part of our equation has thus far been easy and free. If it had been otherwise, this would be a really boring blog, as we're nowhere near being able to afford ART.
2. Also from RainbowW: "child also needs a nickname, eg banana."
Okay, so more of a statement or demand than a question. Nonetheless, I agree. I think Little Sister may stick. But I'll have to see what evolves. I'm going to try and avoid the legume category, though.
3. As a result of your comments, it is clear more information is needed regarding name selection: namely, options that are out because good friends have already used them:
Sofia (but not necessarily Sophie)
4. Again, more of a statement than a question:
I agree with several commenters that Daisy fails the "CEO nameplate" test. I think it's off the list. Sophie may be dangerously close to that same fate, even though I love it for a child.
And Sela is pronounced "See-lah", as in Sela Ward.
