In an effort not to go flat after getting up the nerve for a big, public relaunch into blogging, I'm going to post something short and un-earth-shattering.
In January of last year - luckily, when the girls were out of town with my parents - I had my first bout of kidney stones. I had to go to the ER (a visit I am making the final payment on today) and it was not the most fun I've ever had, nor was it the worst hospital visit in my life.
In October I had another very small stone that I passed at home. In March, I got a kidney infection. And now, yesterday, I was diagnosed with another kidney infection just five weeks later.
My doctors are all saying "such is life" - particularly for women, whose bits are so poorly positioned next to less desireable elements. But we all know that I prefer to do my own research. By which I mean, Ask my well-informed, experienced, and educated readers for their take.
Any of you have tips for minimizing UTIs, kidney infections, or stones?
