I think we're going to take Hannah for her first hair cut today. Although it rarely shows in pictures, the locks in the back are getting fairly long. My long-term goal is to grow her hair relatively long, but given the degree of curl, it'll take years. The long locks have shorter, newer, thicker hair growing in under. It's my plan to cut just enough off to keep the ends from being quite so fragile and tangly, while allowing the shorter layers to start catching up.
But... I really don't know what I'm doing. So if any of you have curly-pated wee ones, please pony up some advice.
Is a cut a good idea? And regardless, what kind of products have you found for keeping the fuzz at bay? I wet and comb Hannah's hair at least twice a day, but she manages to look Einsteinian more often than not. I only wash her hair every five days or so, and we use grown-up conditioner every night. But I still need something leave-in that will help the curls cling together without being sticky. Or does no such product exist?
